Darwin's theory of evolution vs. Lamarck's ideas regarding
                                   evolution
Theory of Evolution
Million of species of organisms present today, including humans, evolved slowly over billions of years, from a common ancestor by way of natural selection.
The idea of natural selection is that the individuals best adapt to their habit pass on their traits to their offspring.
Over time these advantageous qualities accumulated and transformed the individual into a species entirely different from its ancestors.
Cycle of  Evolution
Ideas Regarding Evolution

- Individuals adapt during their own lifetimes and transmit traits that they acquire to their off springs.
 - Offspring then adapt where the parent left off, enabling evolution to advance.
 - then individuals increase specific capabilities by exercising them, while losing others through disuse.
 - The interaction of with their environment is important in the evolutionary process.
