Natural Selection

Natural Selection is simply the logical result of  four features of living systems:

  • Variations- individuals from a population vary from one another.

  • Inheritance-parents pass their traits to their off springs genetically.

  •  Selection- some variants reproduce more than others.

  • time-successful variations accumulate over many generations.

  1. Through natural selection, genetic information( variation) was lost.
  2. The long-fur dogs survive better in a cold environment, they are less able to survive in a warm environment.
  3. A particular characteristic in the dogs population was selected for.
  4. dogs are still dogs since the variation is withing the boundaries of kind.
